About Nickel Wire
Nickel wire has numerous uses in engineering due to the products excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in aqueous and high-temperature environments. With good ductility and workability, our nickel wire is strong and robust, while suitable for use in some of the harshest working environments.
Commercial Use
The use of nickel wire for commercial purposes is widespread. Typical applications of nickel wire include heating elements, lighting and lead wires, mechanical fasteners, electrical contacts, semi-conductors and electrical components in industries such as aerospace, automotive and medical. Nickel wire is also a popular product used in building batteries. Nickel silver wire contains more zinc and is suitable for use in heating coils, marine fittings and plumbing fixtures. It is called nickel silver due to the alloys ‘silver-like’ appearance; however, it does not contain silver.
We stock Nickel Wire in a variety of grades.
